The new Pinedale Middle School will add approximately 18,000 square feet to the existing school. There are nine new classrooms, a new science lab/classroom, a new computer lab, a collaboration area, a warming kitchen and cafeteria. Some remodeling in the existing school will open space for offices and conference areas. A new play ground will be constructed just to the east of the new addition.

Construction has been completed on the masonry walls of the classroom area and joists are nearly completed for the roof in this area. Masonry in the warming kitchen and cafeteria area will be completed by February 1. Completion of the entire project is scheduled for August 1 in time for the opening of school.

Groathouse Construction is the general contractor for the project. Sublette County contractors involved in the construction are Teletractors Inc. and Reeds Readymix. Several other contractors from Wyoming are involved in the construction.

Update January 7, 2007:
The Pinedale Middle School 5th-6th Grade Facility has several parts. A new cafeteria is being built on the front side of the building, between the Middle School and the Administration building. The new 5th & 6th grade classroom addition is being built in back, on the north side of the present Middle School. Inside, the office and conference room area will be redone and integrated into the rooms to the east (right) of their present location. The facility is expected to be ready and open for the first day of the 2007/2008 school year.
